Latest Happenings

I guess everyone in the country is suffering through some pretty arctic weather right now.  In the deep south we usually dont have it very bad, but lately its been down right cold.  Icy would be a more correct description.  We may not be under a few feet of snow... but when I get up at 4:45 in the morning every day to go to work, its been in the teens lately.  Thats cold, I dont care where you live or who you are!  And the last "storm" that would have been snow anywhere else ended up being about 1/2 inch of ice that covered the parking lots, side walks and roads for almost an entire week.  Thank goodness today its finally above freezing and quite pleasant outside so the ice will finally completely all melt.

Oh well, I can keep thinking back to our southern antebellum summers, it seems like it was forever ago...

Instead of T-shirts, stupid sunglasses and garden hats, we will have to make do with the winter wear...

Other than talking about the weather, I guess the most exciting news would be that we officially began our house hunting adventure.  We've been doing a lot of looking online and driving around, however today we actually looked at 5 homes with a real estate agent.  Out of the 5 we looked at, we only both agreed that we liked one.  It was a neatly laid out home over 3 whole stories with the finished bonus room (man cave) on the 3rd floor.  There is also a detached garage in the back with a bonus room above it as well.  Lots of cool features of this house, Kristina really likes the balcony on the front which is attached to the master bedroom.  It was exciting to find a potential home on the first trip out.  We will have to see what we can turn up as we still try to sell our old condo in Athens.

We were truly surprised by just how much room is in this home.  It looks very small from the front, but with it being 3 levels there is a lot of home here.  I would say its quaint, but my wife really hates that word.

Other late breaking news...

I added yet a new member to our little family, this beauty of a banged up and abused Fender Stratocaster that I picked up off a coworker, I'm going to name him Dexter.  Our family now consists of Husband and Wife, 2 kitties, 5 guitars and a mandolin.   All of those musical instruments are in dieing need of a man cave.  They need a home without someone on the other side of the wall so they can play loud!
